IoT Data Visualiser

Overview

This project was developed as part of my dissertation at Cardiff University.

For this dissertation, I developed a data visualiser application for the Abacws computer science building at Cardiff University. The application is built to recieve, and display real-time data from various sensors installed throughout the building.

The deployment of this application can be seen here at abacws.ggrainger.uk

Technologies

The application was split into a backend and frontend layer.

The backend was developed using Node.js with the Express.js framework. The frontend was developed using React.js A MongoDB database is used to store sensor data. TypeScript was used throughout.
